Writing it well

One script for numbers. Use 9 नवंबर 1996 or ९ नवंबर १९९६ — not both on one page.
Spell community names the way the family does. The other family will search for the same spelling.

What do चि. and सौ. कां. mean before the name?

चि. (चिरंजीव) is written before an unmarried boy's name and सौ. कां. (सौभाग्यकांक्षिणी) before an unmarried girl's name. They are traditional and optional — many families today write just the name.
