Marriage Biodata Format in Word & PDF
Two ways to get a biodata you can edit: download a blank Word format below and fill it in Microsoft Word or Google Docs, or use the free biodata maker, which builds the biodata as you type and downloads it as a Word file or PDF — with your photo, in English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil or Punjabi. No sign-up for either.
Download a blank biodata format (Word)
Each file opens in Microsoft Word, Google Docs and WPS Office. Delete any line that doesn't apply to you — a missing line looks deliberate, a line with "N/A" looks careless. The Marathi format includes the fields Marathi families expect: रक्तगट, गण, नाडी, देवक, कुलदैवत and मामा (see the full Marathi format). The Tamil format adds லக்னம், பாதம் and குலதெய்வம் (see the Tamil format), and the Hindi file uses the headings explained on the Hindi biodata format page.
Or fill it online and download Word or PDF
Filling a Word table on a phone is fiddly. The maker is quicker: type each detail once, add a photo, pick the language, and press Download Word or Save as PDF. It runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded, so it's safe for family phone numbers and photos.
Word vs PDF: which do you need?
| Word (.doc) | ||
|---|---|---|
| Edit later | Yes | No |
| Looks the same on every phone | Usually — fonts can shift | Always |
| Best for | Your own master copy | Sending on WhatsApp and email |
Keep the Word file, send the PDF. If you update your job or add a photo later, edit the Word copy and export a fresh PDF.
How to fill the Word format properly
- Write dates out — "14 Mar 1999", never 14/03/99, which reads differently abroad.
- Insert the photo (Insert → Pictures) below the name, about 4 cm wide. Compress it first (Picture Format → Compress Pictures) or the file balloons.
- Delete rows you don't need rather than leaving them empty. The marriage biodata format guide explains what each section should say.
- Export to PDF and open it on your own phone before sending — one page, readable without zooming.

Frequently asked questions
Where can I download a marriage biodata format in Word for free?
On this page: four blank Word formats (English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil) download directly with no sign-up. Or fill the free maker and press Download Word to get a finished, editable biodata with your details and photo.
Will the Word file open on my phone?
Yes. It opens in Microsoft Word, Google Docs and WPS Office on Android and iPhone, and in Word or LibreOffice on a computer. Hindi and Marathi text needs a Devanagari font, which every modern phone and Windows 10/11 already has.
How do I convert my biodata from Word to PDF?
In Word: File → Save As → choose PDF. In Google Docs: File → Download → PDF document. On a phone in WPS Office: Tools → Export to PDF. Always send the PDF, not the Word file, so the layout can't shift on the other family's phone.
Word or PDF — which should I send on WhatsApp?
PDF. It looks identical on every phone and can't be accidentally edited. Keep the Word file for yourself so you can update details later. A single page under 1 MB forwards fastest.
